The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Music and the Arts (CAAMA) is presenting a SPOTLIGHT ON THE NETHERLANDS at Canadian Music Week in May 2021.
The Spotlight in designed to facilitate access for CAAMA members, Canadian artists, entrepreneurs and music companies to do business with music companies and market specialists from the Netherlands.
To advance the upcoming Spotlight and to support market entry, CAAMA has produced a MARKET ACCESS GUIDE TO THE NETHERLANDS.
A growth market, the Netherlands’ total music market ranked 10th worldwide, up from #11 in 2019.
The Netherlands showed an increase in revenue of 3.8 percent year over year in 2020 to US$327.3 MN, ranking #6 for Performance Rights, #11 for Streaming (up 15.6% YoY) , #21 for Other Digital, #14 for Synchronization and #11 for Physical.
It is home to one of the most important industry events for European artists, Eurosonic Noorderslag which takes place Jan. 13-16, 2021 in Groningen) and one of the world’s most important Dance Music events with the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) (Oct. 13-17, 2021.)
