CAAMA Mission to Johannesburg (Soweto) South Africa in advance of the 2023 CMW Spotlight on the African region

The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Music and the Arts (CAAMA) took a mission of five Canadian companies to South African Music Week (SAMW).
CAAMA Introduced five Canadian companies to the market to meet buyers in Johannesburg and attending SAMW. South African Music Week (SAMW) was held at the recently renovated Soweto Theatre in Soweto, Johannesburg.

The Canadian companies in attendance on ehalf of CAAMA included: Bruce Bradley (Slammin Media), Julz Ossom (African Music Week Canada), Tommy Banks (RNB Radar) & Rudy Blair (Rudy Blair Media)  who joined mission leader Neill Dixon (CAAMa project manger and CMW President) for a panel on best practices in doing business with Canada. The Canadians talked about their their areas of expertise in facilitating new trade opportunities between Canada and South Africa,  the SADC.and Africa in general. The mission was highly successful in assessing the potential; for a Spotlight on the SADC and broadening it for the continent of Africa given the potential from various regions beyond South Africa.

CAAMA also presented a video overview on the Canadian music industry with representatives from major industry organizations and associations.
