Director
Tom Cochrane (Artist/Songwriter)
To quote the title of one of the songs on his feverishly anticipated new record, Tom Cochrane is now “Back In The Game.” True, the Canadian rock icon has never stopped creating or performing, but Take It Home is his first album of new material since 2006′s No Stranger. Happily, Take It Home (to be released via Universal Music Canada) reveals an artist still at the top of his game, exploring new lyrical and sonic terrain while remaining grounded in the values that have made him one of Canada’s most beloved rock ‘n rollers ever.
Over the course of a long and illustrious career now spanning more than 40 years, the pride of Lynn Lake, Manitoba has covered more terrain than the Franklin expedition. From early beginnings as a folk-based singer/songwriter playing the coffeehouses of Toronto’s famed Yorkville scene in the early ’70s, Tom became the driving force in adventurous rockers Red Rider prior to achieving massive international success (over six million copies sold worldwide and diamond-sales status at home) with breakthrough 1991 album Mad Mad World and its anthemic hit “Life Is A Highway.”
Since then, he has continued to create potent new material while cementing his place in the hearts of Canadians through crowd-pleasing performances from coast to coast and his unwavering work on behalf of humanitarian causes and organisations. An Order of Canada recipient and Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee, Cochrane has won eight Juno awards and numerous other industry honours, including the 2013 Allan Waters Humanitarian Award and a Grammy nomination.
Director
Dan Hill (Artist/Songwriter)
How does one describe the creative force driving Dan Hill? Nominated for a Grammy for Best Male Vocal, winner of a Grammy (as co-producer of “Seduces Me” on Celine Dion’s 30 plus million-selling “Falling Into You” album), winner of five Juno Awards and the Harold Moon Award (Canadian Lifetime Songwriting Achievement Award), Dan has recorded and released multiple gold and platinum albums. His classic hits, such as “Sometimes When We Touch” (closing in on 5 million spins in America alone, and covered by hundreds of artists around the world), “Can’t We Try” (#1 Billboard AC Record of the Year), and “Never Thought (That I could Love)”, another #1 AC record, all remain staples of AC radio stations around the world. Dan has also enjoyed consistent success as a ‘behind the scenes’ songwriter, his compositions recorded by so many artists spanning so many musical genres that it’s, well, incredible. Pop singers Celine Dion, Britney Spears, 98 Degrees, The Backstreet Boys, Rod Stewart, Donny Osmond, Jennifer Rush and Michael Bolton, R&B singers Tina Turner, George Benson, and Jeffrey Osborne and country singers Tammy Wynette, Sammy Kershaw, Mark Wills, Reba, Alan Jackson, and Lorrie Morgan, to name a select few.
Somehow, Dan found time in between his musical outpourings to carve out an esteemed reputation as an author. His latest book, the critically acclaimed, best selling memoir “I Am My Father’s Son (a memoir of love and forgiveness)” was published by Harper Collins in February, 2009. This poignant and often hilarious memoir came on the heels of a stunning cover story he wrote for Macleans magazine: “Every Parents Nightmare”, (February 2008). It was the incredible media and public response to Dan’s latest book that coaxed him back into the studio to record his first album in 14 years. “Intimate”, reunites Dan with producers Matt McCauley and Fred Mollin (boyhood friends of Dan’s who produced his first four platinum selling albums, including “Sometimes When We Touch”).
The songs are as breathtaking, featuring Dan singing with soul and authenticity. Hands down the best recording of Dan’s career, roughly half of the songs on “Intimate” have been previous hits for other artists (such as, “I Do (Cherish You)”, “She’s in Love”, “I Promise You (With Everything I Am)”. And as a special bonus, Dan has recorded a heart stopping, stripped down version of his classic, “Sometimes When We Touch.” And yet it’s Dan’s new songs that hit the hardest, demonstrating his range and depth as a writer, as well as his natural gift for story telling. And speaking of story telling, “Intimate” is the perfect mix of Dan the singer/songwriter and Dan the author. Each song contains a detailed ‘song story’, (included in the CD booklet) detailing the behind the scenes emotional build up that inspired its writing, as well as fascinating descriptions of the creative dynamics between Dan and several of his co-writers. Is “Intimate” a book or a CD? The work of a highly successful songwriter, an accomplished and published author, or a singer with a style as distinctive as it is passionate? “Intimate” is, well, an intimate expression of Dan Hill the artist, at his honest, soul stirring, story telling best. Or, as Dan’s closest friend and collaborator, country superstar producer and songwriter Keith Stegall writes for “Intimate’s” liner notes: “This is your masterpiece Dan, and I am honored to have lived and breathed some of it with you….your talent is awe inspiring but your friendship inspires me beyond words.” For Dan’s discography, tour schedule, single stats and further information go to: www.danhill.com

In early 2010 and at the supportive urging of friends and fans including American rock and pop legends and today’s hottest indie artists, Andy will release ‘HAPPEN AGAIN’, an album of 10 brand new songs, each true to his passionate belief that “those who chase their dreams succeed only through sheer determination and a steadfast belief in the power of the individual to influence a multitude by speaking from the heart.” Throughout his career, Andy has always maintained an unwavering and unconditional love for his music, believing that “art is more important than the artist.” His new music possesses the timeless, transcendent and transforming qualities of his songs before, while giving us a very personal look into the artist’s take on love and change. Songs such as “3 Days in Heaven,” “Someday”, “Without You,” and “Happen Again” express the faith in love, life and the importance of personal strength to enduring change.
In 2010 Andy was inducted into the “Hit Parade Hall of Fame” and is already in the “Songwriters Hall of Fame.” He lives in Los Angeles and produces under his own label, !ceworks, with plans to tour across Canada.
Director
Jason McCoy (Artist/Songwriter)
As a 25 year veteran of the entertainment industry, and two time CCMA Male Vocalist of the Year, Jason McCoy appears to be the king of reinvention. Growing up in the small town of Minesing Ontario, Jason admired the well-rounded artistry of classic entertainers Roger Miller and Johnny Cash, to Merle Haggard and Glen Campbell. Armed with a guitar and a dream, Jason set out at the age of 19 to follow his own path to stardom.’
As a Country Music Artist, he’s racked up multiple CCMA and CMA awards along with a Gold album. As creator and front man of the highest selling band in Canadian Country Music history,The Road Hammers, Jason took on the Country Rock genre and guided the band to unprecedented success throughout Canada and the United States, picking up a platinum album, CCMA Band of the Year award, and a Juno along the way….but music is only part of the story….
Ever engaging and entertaining, Jason has become a popular host on many fronts. From voicing the nationally syndicated Country Radio show ‘Sounds Canadian’, (2007-2010), to stepping in front of the camera as host of Smashtown (CMT Canada/USA), and two seasons of CMT’s Pet Heroes (2010/2011).
The release of the album ‘Everything’, marked Jason’s first solo studio album since 2001, and spawned the top 10 hit, ‘She’s Good for Me’, as well as the title track ‘I’d Still Have Everything’.
Equally comfortable behind the mic, or in front of the camera, Jason McCoy has reinvented himself time and again to become a bonafide all round ‘entertainer’. Jason continues to write and record music, and prizes the time he spends with his wife and two children at their home farm, just two miles from the small town of Minesing where it all began.
