China_Report-1The much heralded ‘360 Degree Model’ is a tried and tested one in China as, without it, there would be no successful music companies. The very fact that the 55% of the market is dominated by local Chinese companies, and not the so called ‘Majors’ as we have come to know them, has prevented Napster-like or DRM endorsed initiatives from holding back the ongoing development of a culture whereby accessing music online at least ‘feels free’, to a population who has come to expect it to be so.
